BISNOW’S SALES MANAGER OPENING

How We Roll

As the largest media and events company for commercial real estate in North America, we know a bit about getting stuff done. There’s a reason the industry’s most successful leaders are clamoring to speak at nearly 300 events we have in 2016. (Aside from our great taste in breakfast wraps.) If your professional passion relates to connecting with players in the commercial real estate industry both online and off, you’ve come to the right place. We’re growing at an exponential rate and are seeking talented and energetic professionals eager to grow in our field. We’re on a rocket ship—pack your toothbrush, or get left behind.

How We Are Profitable

Bisnow generates revenue three ways: advertising, sponsorship opportunities at our events and of course, ticket sales for those events. However, we wouldn’t be profitable without a badass sales team. And that’s where you come in.

What The Role Entails

  • Overseeing the training of all new sales reps and ongoing training for existing reps as we launch new products and services.
  • Growing sales revenue by 20 - 30% year over year through managing the team and personal involvement in large deals.
  • Managing the sales team on a day-to-day basis and ensuring that they are fit to do the roles that are expected of them.
  • Recruit and interview new salespeople for new and existing markets to increase our presence on the ground.
  • Innovate new techniques for selling existing products as well as new products that either you or the new initiatives team implement.

This Is The Place For You If You…

  • Are incredibly well organized, pay attention to detail, never let anything slip and hold yourself to high standards. Consider this to be sales management rather than sales.
  • Are looking for an incredibly challenging job which most people would consider emotionally draining and exhausting.  You, however, see monumental challenges and intense amounts of pressure as exciting; you like to push yourself.
  • Insist on being respected and understand the difference between being respected and being liked; seldom do the two go hand in hand.
  • Are highly competitive and entrepreneurial and can prove it.
  • Don't like hitting goals -- you like crushing goals. You push yourself at everything you do, whether it be work, fun or fitness.
  • Don’t do second place.

Please keep in mind that as a fast growing, cutting edge media company, we look for innovation in everything so we do. So if you're great at everything above but don't like to change things up, get in the weeds and think of new ideas or innovate with fresh concepts, this likely isn't the right fit for you. But if you dig that, call us. Because so do we.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Or know someone who has what it takes? Prove it.

Send your resume to careers@bisnow.com, but don’t send a cover letter. Instead, in 100 words or less, answer how you would approach this scenario:

The skill set required to be a good leader is very different to that of a good manager. Putting management aside, talk to us about what characteristics you believe you possess that make you a good leader.
